FAQ's

Where did Electrolysis begin?

It began with an Ophthalmologist, Dr Charles Michel, who invented the electrolysis treatment for his patients painful ingrown eyelashes in 1875.

Does it hurt?

Some people describe it as a warm sensation. Some areas of the body are more sensitive than others and some people can tolerate an electrolysis treatment better than others. However, The settings used can be made more comfortable for each clients needs. When a new client has treatment for the first time, they are often surprised that the sensation is way more tolerable than they were anticipating. Drinking plenty of water and getting a proper rest are just a couple of ways to enjoy your treatment time.

Is it really permanent?

Yes!! Electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal that is recognized by the FDA. A series of treatments are necessary and it is vital to keep consistent appointments to achieve permanent results.

What causes new hair growth?

Hormones are the most common reason for new hair growth. Other factors such as stress, medications, illness, and injury can stimulate the hair to grow. If you have an excessive amount of new hair growth, I recommend making a visit to your family doctor.

How long will it take to see permanent results?

The length of time required to achieve permanent results will vary with each individual and each hair. Being consistent with your appointments and having a high tolerance level to treatment will help you achieve the fastest results. The reason that consistent appointments are needed is because your hair needs to be at the right stage of growth for best results.
